Title: Summer Love

by Perfectly-Imperfect from Staffordshire | in writing, poetry, lyrical

I'd sit by the ocean.
With your arms wrapped around my waist.
Close my eyes.
And feel your embrace.
Feel your lips against mine.
And the sand between my toes.
The ocean ahead of us.
Washing away my woes.
Your fingers filling.
The gaps between mine.
My heartbeat thudding against your chest.
All thoughts lost in time.
Your smell lingering.
In the summer air.
And a familiar warmth.
Replacing what's not there.
Surrounding my essence.
Defining yours.
Creating a faith.
And love is the cause.
You guide my hair away from my face.
And I gaze into your eyes.
Lost in this abyss I'm drawn to believe in.
And praying that it never dies...
