Title: Won't someone find me...

by Hannah from Bedfordshire | in writing, poetry

Hell, hell it claws from beneath
Tangling up around my feet
It strokes my shoes, tickles my hair
It's more than I possibly can bear.

That sickly sweet smell fills my nose
Filling my head and scenting my clothes
It whispers quietly in my ear
I shake my head but it won't clear.

My feet blur; I run away
But still it follows me night and day
I can't escape, I can barely breathe
Yet still it silently trails me.

Why won't it go?
Won't it finally leave me alone?
I feel so helpless, trapped by this hell
I need to be free, I need to be well.

I sit in my hell, feeling the fire
I've given up; I'm sucked into this mire.
If only someone would find me here
If only someone would stem my tears.

As I slip into the fiery hell
I cry out a soft and whispered farewell.
The world didn't find me; the world didn't care.
So I sit and wallow in my despair.

The first line just came to me and I went from there. I guess it kinda relates to bullying in a really roundabout way.
