Title: Titanic. The 'Unsinkable' Ship
by Charis | in writing, poetry
Fresh and new and clean.
It's beautiful.
A floating palace
Not a ship.
Strong and sturdy.
'Unsinkable'
But still I fear.
A voice in my head,
Calling, warning.
I need to listen
I can't.
What can I do?
A girl, a woman
No choice,
I must follow
Never lead.
But it calls
That voice.
'Don't go on
'There's a curse
'Don't test God!'
That's what they did.
Said he can't,
Can't sink this ship.
But he can
He will
I know,
You don't test God
It's not safe
And there's a curse
A curse on the ship
It's not safe
Never was
'Unsinkable'
They think,
It's not true,
Can't be true
There's a curse
And I can't escape.
Just a girl, just a woman
No choice,
I must follow
On the ship,
In the sea,
To the bottom
The bottom of the ocean.
I had to follow,
And I did.
You don't test God.
I was trying to write a story on the Titanic. I had dreamt it, and I decided I wanted to put it down, because it might turn out interesting. It turned out like a poem.
