Title: Sarcasm and ignorance; One and the same?
by Jack from East Yorkshire | in writing, non-fiction
Have you ever told someone something and had them just say 'Yeah, sure!' in a stupid sarcastic tone? Doesn't it annoy you? How does their sarcastic exclamation have any relevance, how does it help in any way? Sarcasm is a mask for the ignorant, which they hide behind because they can think of no other way to express their opinion.
They can't think of any argument against what you say so they simply proclaim you a liar in their irritating, indirect way.
Sarcasm: A convenient way for the bigots of the world to disguise their idiocy.
'Yeah, sure it is.'
I was inspired by my sister, in her infinite stupidity, to write this, because she responds to every single sentence of mine with smug, pathetic sarcasm. Either that or she puts her hands in her ears and says 'lalala' to block me out.
