Title: When I'm old and grey
by Abbie from Kent | in writing, poetry
When I'm old and grey I'll be big and bold,
I'll dress in bright colours and act not a bit old,
I'll wear my hair long and blonde, Huge curls tumbling down,
When I'm old and grey I shall never frown,
I'll look back on my life and say, what a wonderful time,
Even when I'm one hundred I'll still be writing in rhyme,
I shall mooch around the shops and try on tiny tops,
I won't play old records, I won't watch top of the pops,
I'll read the newest gossip that's spreading round L.A.
I'll look at old photos I'll laugh and then I'll say,
'This is me in my olden days; look at how I've changed!'
There is one thing I won't be that is deranged!
I can't believe I'm saying all this; I'm still only young,
There is many more headlines, and songs to be sung,
I'll still be jumping about when I'm sixty four,
But for now I'll do all that and maybe even more!
My inspiration was my nan because she doesn't act old!
