Title: Depression
by Anna from Essex | in writing, poetry
Lost with no one left to care,
The pain inside too much to bear,
A broken man, his spirit crushed,
His bitter grief from blue eyes gushed,
In salty tears down his pale face,
No heart inside just empty space,
A shattered fragment of a life,
Don't beat the drum, don't play the fife,
As this forgotten soul, he cries,
The light of life fades from his eyes,
No requiem in church shall sound,
As out of sight he slowly drowns,
In anger, sorrow, grief and pain:
This agony out in the rain.
The poem is about a character in a story I am currently writing.
