Title: The Family Pets
by Timothy | in writing, non-fiction
Pets seem to be affectionate little creatures when people look at them in a store. Once they purchase it, though, they realize that the affectionate charm has to be repaid by something much harder to them; which is caring. Pets tend to be lovable when their owners have the right treatment for them. Thus, the owners must be responsible for its feeding, health, patting and stroking, cleanness, and in short; caring the pets like a family member. This kind of requirement makes a lot of people to regret their decision and soon abandon their pets to a pet shop, road, dismal and derelict building, or other horrible places.
Some people, however, know that pets are living creatures that have rights for a better treatment. These kinds of people know from the start about the consequences of having a pet from the beginning and therefore, they are well prepared to treat their pets. They know what kind of food should they provide, they understand which vet should they visit when the pet is sick, and more importantly; they comprehend about the need of treating pets like their family member. These people should be our example of treating our pets. And obviously I have to agree that pets will be my additional family member starting from the time when I purchase it.
Given that pets are presumably our family member, not a few of people know exactly what the phrase means. They think that if they give them enough food and a convenient home for their pets, problems will be solved. They will not care any further about their pets’ feeling if the owners never take them for a walk or accompaniment. It’s true that pets need a good food and home, but pets also need our affectionate too. Pets have acute feeling about how we treat them and how often we take them with us; which is why we must consider them like our own brothers or sisters. For instance, if I have a flabby Persian cat, I would consider her as my cute but yet spoilt her sister. I will then consistently stroke while watching the TV. Or if I have a Dalmatian dog; I will take him running at the sport complex like my sporty brother.
One last thing that we have to bear in mind, pet is not a robot; where robots are used to brutal treatments. However, a pet needs to be treated gently as they are also a creature with feeling like us. It has been proven that pet with gentle treatment always obliged its obedience and is likely to become like the owner’s sibling, understanding and consistently stands to support the owner. So, pets are our additional family members, not detestable or loathing creatures.
