Title: Missing

by Rachel from Lancashire | in writing, poetry

Missing:
An identity
Last seen when I was in your arms
Believed to have run away when you told me it was over

Description:
Warm
Caring
Loving
Needing you

If you see this missing identity
It answers to the touch of your hand
To the warmth of your smile
To the soft brush of your lips

Approach it carefully
Hold nothing back
Treat it like you always did
And hold it as if you had never let it go

Please return my missing identity
Please return to my arms

The person who I had been seeing for about 6 months left me, and I felt like I had nothing left because I wasn't ""allowed"" to love him anymore, so instead I wrote this as a way of helping myself move on.
