Title: Love and Lust

by Ellen from Derbyshire | in writing, poetry

I didn't understand,
I didn't reprimand,
You, for using me in that way,

I was not part of it in mind,
I was but a shadow, but a ghost inside,
when your hands unlaced my blouse,

It wasn't for me to complain,
It wasn't for me to explain,
That I didn't love you,

So you just hurt my heart,
You hurt me at the start,
Of the realisation, that it was all just for this,
All just for my body,
Not for my wit,
My laughter,
My love,
Not for my smile,
Which you claimed you'd dreamt of,

If you'd had any decency,
But you didn't did you?
If you'd listened to me,
But you'd didn't did you?
If you'd loved me...but you didn't,
Did You?
