Title: No hope

by Jessica from Cambridgeshire | in writing, poetry

I have no dreams,
No loving place,
My body has no means,
Upon this earth or beyond,
It's like my spirit's got up and gone.

Emotionless, dead,
I lay there at night,
The creation leaking from within my head,
Nothing but hate, total despair,
My life is all over no one need stare.

Im writing a book at the moment about a soldier in World War One and during my research found they wrote a lot of poems. So I wrote this poem to go in with my story about what effect war could have on a soldier.
