Title: Remember

by Heather from Lancashire | in writing, poetry

Remember, remember,
11th November
Trenches, poppies, death,
Our one minute's silence
Shows our admirance
For the people who fought yet again.

Remember, remember,
11th November
Armies, bangs and guns,
The soldiers were brave,
They tried to save,
But people still lost loved ones.

Remember, remember,
11th November,
Soldiers, their children, their wives,
Next time you're quiet,
Just for a while,
Think of those who have lost lives.

I wrote this poem a couple of years ago in memory of the soldiers who fought in the war.
