Title: Plain old me
by Bethany | in writing, poetry
I have one hundred spots dotted all over my face,
The bags under my eyes get darker everyday.
My hair's flat and ugly and never does what I want it to.
My arms are too hairy and my thighs are too fat,
My teeth stick out giving me the smile of a vampire,
And the veins on my face shine through my skin.
I have a short temper and have to be right,
I'm shy with new people and keep my voice down,
But when I'm with friends I'm just too loud.
It's hard to be funny and happy all the time,
I ignore hurtful comments, or at least I try,
I don't get bullied but I'm really not cool.
I'm extremely imperfect and emotional too,
I want to change my appearance and be beautiful like other girls,
But I know I can't,
I'm just plain old me.
All my imperfections but knowing I have to live with them.
