Title: Expressive elements
by Kathryn A from Northern Ireland | in writing, poetry
I feel cold air numbing my face,
Flowing through my body with a refreshing taste.
It soars elegantly through the sky,
Like an eagle travelling calmly watching time go by.
It twirls and roars like a hungry lion ready to pounce.
It has a fresh and delightful smell that fills your body with a sense of confidence.
I feel a sudden warm fuzz
Sizzling against my skin,
Like a burning candle in the night.
It burns and will destroy anything in its way.
It's like swaying trees blustering in the dark.
It smells like fresh toast on a dark, windy night.
It leaves happy memories of home.
I feel moist, clammy soil trickling across my fingertips.
Trembling under the ground like an earthquake about to start.
Its decomposing smell travels across the world,
It is dusty, chalky and spreads through the cities
Like an endless smog engulfing the landscape.
It is like a wet teardrop that falls from a sad mans face.
It's like a slithering snake along the ground.
It smells like seaweed on a fresh day.
It sways and it roars like a mad animal in the forest.
