Title: Air, water, fire and earth

by Lauren from Northern Ireland | in writing, poetry

Whistling through your fingertips,
Blowing through your hair,
Blustering through the valley,
Soaring through the sky,
Darting past the trees,
Weaving through crowds.

Dripping from taps,
Hurling from the sky,
Gurgling down drains,
Trickling down faces,
Crashing against rocks,
Gushing down rivers.

Squelching around your feet,
Sliding down the mountains,
Providing food to the plants,
Decomposing in the night,
Shaping the valleys,
Up heaving the nations.

Smouldering through the landscape,
Cutting through surroundings,
Scorching through the valley,
Giving light to darkness,
Transforming structures into ash,
Destroying all in its path.
