Title: Tears
by Kerry from Scotland | in writing, fiction
The minute, salty tear slowly caressed her pristine white skin, which with the sun had accumulated a few freckles, as gravity guided it down her soft skin leaving a black mascara trail. The sun shone proudly, grinning as the glistening water brushed against the pebbled beach surrounding and encapsulating every stone, rock and misplaced item. The light grey tear which had hung at her jaw line for a short while now fell effortlessly onto the soft tissue of her breasts and following the gentle curve rested in her cleavage just as small droplets of blood had trickled down the same soft tissue many times before after she had from right to left severed herself with the sharp blade point of her late grandfathers treasured pocket knife, staining the lace and cloth of her ivory corset. The black mascara trail which ran down her smooth cheek had begun to dry as the warm wind brushed against her face and the warmth of the sun seemed to absorb the graying liquid.
