Title: Reflecting
by Kerry from Scotland | in writing, fiction
The warm, salty sea air filled their lungs as they lay alone. Their surroundings were totally irrelevant as they were captivated entirely by each others presence. Her head resting gently on his arm which along with his other ' holding her delicately at the dip on her side which came ahead of her angled hips- appeared encapsulating, they were sheltered by the remains of the make believe bow. This, along with the shared body heat created the perfect closeness and atmosphere. Her gentle gaze met his enthralling brown eyes which were speckled with a gold shimmer, these mirrored her dark emerald eyes which could have easily been flaming embers set alight by the blinding rays of the high sun. Every pore on the couples exposed skin was magnificently sensitive to the others touch, the slightest movement or stroke, with which carried with it all the affection possible, so much affection that the other could not phrase it if they had the whole of eternity to do so, would give the other an overpowering sense of want, need and adornment. Pigments of auburn and brown merged together to create a delicate reflective blanket beneath his tanned, dimpled cheek and her own pale freckled plump skin. Time was no more eminent now than anything else. Seconds became minutes and minutes turned to hours.
It's a reflection of some time I spent with my partner. =] xxx
