Title: The bordoving
by AMy from South Yorkshire | in writing, poetry
So what are you saying about such a thing.
That sort of resembles the Bordoving?
A made up creature, is it not?
No! For you saw it on this very spot?
Why! Are you saying it is no lie,
for you saw it with your own eye!
Come come, tell me now, how did it appear?
For I have read it books it looks quite queer!
Oh No! You cry, it is most amazing
And for that you just could not stop gazing
at its scales of wonderous gold
and how magnificent its wings did unfold
and as it took off, in full flight
You cry, Lord, what a beautiful sight!
And the creature looks down at your stare
Distgruntled, there's an intruder in its lair!
Its suddenly fixed in alarm
The bordoving no longer calm
For there is danger in its path
And quite suddenly it showed its wrath!
Stunned and shocked you knew not what to do
For realisation, the danger was you!
And so you flinched and began to run
the Bordovings eyes glinting in the sun
No longer danger, you were instead tasty food
So as you ran you were pursued
You dived out of its cave and into the night
Behind a rock, out of sight
And there at last, you became wise
as to why most people did despise
Such a monster, a ghastly thing
As the evil Bordoving!
So you sat and wondered why
The bordoving wants you to die?
Until at last! there is no sound
the monsters meal could not be found
so with a fast and pounding heart
you very swifty make your depart!
And the tales that all the locals knew
Unfortunatly came true for you!
And atlast you make it back
to utter the terror of your attack
But your tale is cynically scorned,
For I will say, you was warned!
Because I too have fallen in the path
of the Bordoving and its wrath
And I thought I too was going to die
Whimpering at the back of the cave I lie
It towered above me, I quivered beneath
But then it smiled, and revealed, the Bordoving has no teeth!!
