Title: Tie me to you
by Fiona from Hertfordshire | in writing, poetry
Dear NoFace,
Goodbye is never really goodbye is it?
You never know when you will bump into someone,
On a rainy day full of roses.
I would say 'I'll miss you',
But I never hit you in the first place.
Maybe once in a while I'll catch your smell on my breath again,
The home it really should be.
I said I didn't want the little piece of string,
I lied.
I need that bind,
Between us both,
That holds you tight,
And holds you close.
The only memory that I have,
Is nothing I can recall upon.
Your face has vanished from my mind,
Your voice, a whisper, fades away.
And maybe even your smell someday...
Yours sincerely,
No, yours forever,
Derry
A relationship I had..
