Title: leaving home..part 2

by S.N.P from London | in writing, fiction

'Right sir, I'll need a statement off you then' he started, now with a smile on his face, as if he was proud that I could speak of my actions without him having to pull the red card on me. His attitude annoyed me, it wasn't so much his body language it was the way he looked at me, the way he spoke to me, it made me feel uneasy about him. He walked out of the room while his partner looked at me, expressionless. Strangely I wasn't at all scared or upset when they said I was going to prison for this, I agreed with them each time they said it, but I also told them that God would not allow this, which he wouldn't, he'd come to my aid and save me from these damned people. They whispered things to each other, talking about me no doubt, probably consulting who'd gag me and then who'd kill me, evil people, they knew no justice.

An hour after the questioning and statement taking the police men left the hospital, and I could finally
rest in a comfortable bed before I was taken to a dank and most likely smelly one in prison. But people just wouldn't allow me to because another person entered the room, I was getting really annoyed now. 'What?!' I screamed at him, he looked pale and skinny he was probably about 27, I envied his
youthful looks, and I was unimpressed with his choice of wardrobe, the colours were too dark and scary, he was clearly not a follower of God, ha! Scum!.

He then addressed me, 'Mr Deirly' he began 'I am Dr Jon Harper, I am a psychologist from Heardsford's Asylum, I-'.
'You think I'm mad?!' I screamed, ' God will not allow such foolishness!', I quickly turned to my bedside table trembling in anger and grabbed the glass filled with water, and I shot it across the room, in his direction, he swiftly moved out of the way and the glass smashed against the white wall, his face expressionless.
'Right then, I'll be sure to apologize to him later' he said, looking genuinely sorry, hmmm perhaps he is worthy, this lad is a strange one. 'Well then in that case, I to apologize, not for throwing the glass at you but for assuming you were not worthy to be a follower of God', he eyed me still with an expressionless face, he then nodded and left the room, leaving me to myself.

Hours later, the same man, this doctor guy came back into my room, and asked if he could speak with me. I had agreed to talk with him but of course I wouldn't let him get inside my head, I am far to clever to fall for such things. 'Am I right in thinking that you do not want to kill again?, that this was just out of anger and you've promised yourself that you'd not do it again?' I couldn't help it a smile played across my lips. He made a sort of humming noise then asked 'she deserved it didn't she?', my smile faded as I thought, 'yes she did, but what of it?', he nodded to himself and spoke in a quiet voice, 'she let you down. She betrayed you, she didn't deserve you, but there doesn't have to be anything like this again, there is someone out there for you, I kno-'.

'Yes, but you are wrong, she did all of those things to me, but in the bible it says not to give into your desires, so by killing her my desires were gone, understand?, or are you not well educated enough to understand how that makes perfect sense?' I said voice slightly trembling in anger.
He stared a moment at me then, 'I understand you, please believe that I do, I'll be back to pick you up later, of course if it's okay with you?' he looked at me questioningly eyebrows raised.
'Just you?, no-one else? No police will pursue us?' I asked not wanting anyone else, for I knew they'd all judge me, but this on was different he seemed to comprehend my ways of thinking.
He smiled at me, such a warm and open smile, I could almost feel myself smiling back, 'Only us I promise you' and with that he left the room.
