Title: Dear Mum

by Liz from Lancashire | in writing, poetry

It's hard living without you, Mum
It's hard that you're not here
Still, I've managed for this long
It's gone fast, the last four years.

You meant so much to me, Mum
I know the love was there
And even though you passed away
I'll always know you cared.

There are so many memories, Mum
So many good times together
And the memories will remain with me, Mum,
I'll never forget them, ever.

I know you're looking down, Mum
You're looking after me
I know you're my guardian angel
And forever that's what you'll be.

I wrote it to my mum a few years after she died. It's not too dissimilar to the eulogy I wrote for her funeral. xxx
