Title: Unpredictable, yet inevitable

by Jessica from Hampshire and Isle of Wight | in writing, poetry

See the malevolence in my eye'
Hear the sinister intention in my step'
Taste my blackened soul in the air that I breathe'

An inevitable force,
Looming over every mortal,
For some I'm distant,
For others close,
Oh, so close'

SWEET HIGH PITCHED SCREECH

''how I wonder what you are. Hooray! Now would you like more tea teddy?'

CLOSER'
CLOSER'

'Good boy mr snuffles, do you like my wowwy pop?'

YOU KNOW
I'M COMING'

'Uh oh, mama, I've had an accident!'

YOU CAN'T
STOP ME'

Feel the numbness enrapture you'
Sense the presence of a sadistic soul,
Slowly shadowing yours'

'MAMA!'

LOSING BREATH'

'MAMA!'

No time to cry, no time
To wonder,
To worry,
To help'

I'M HERE

This was part of GCSE coursework, where we could write a poem about absolutely anything. Although not the most cheery of pieces, iI like it- I hope you do too! Just in case it isn't clear, the whole idea is that the poem is a personification of death.
