Title: Columbine
by Emily from West Yorkshire | in writing, poetry
I used to think that I was pretty
Now I know I'm not,
I used to think that was the only
Reason I was shot.
Now I know that long ago,
He went wrong in his head,
And that is why he came to school
And shot everyone dead.
He felt that he was really cool
When he stole his brother's gun.
So he loaded and aimed a shot-
It seemed like real good fun.
And in those fiery pits, he'll feel,
He'll regret every kill.
He'll start to wonder why the hell he did it,
But there's always a way with will.
I can positively say that he ruined my life-
This was not how I chose to die.
Those who believe that 'all happens for a reason',
Are living a little white lie.
This wasn't supposed to happen,
I'd worked out my whole life,
He thought that he had set me free,
For not using a knife.
He thought that death was painless,
But soon he'll see he was wrong
Because soon he will too be dead,
At the end of this sad song.
I was inspired byan old newspaper report that I read on the Columbine shootings
