Title: What we can't have
by Thomas | in writing, poetry
Sometimes we want what we can't have,
Yet even knowing this, we reach for it still,
Reaching as far as we can until,
Soon we must end the chase,
Because the truth smacks us in the face,
Cold with reality, hot with disgrace,
The truth hurts, and facing it hurts more,
Even more so if you have done so before,
Especially if you can't let go,
As the emotions grip on you wears you so,
Even though the truth is blinding,
The path to realizing it, will always be winding.
My life, it's complexities, and the problems that still perplex me. Credits: Just me and my inspiratation, who has taught me important things, even when it hurt to realize those lessons.
