Title: Fantasy
by Lena from Buckinghamshire | in writing, fiction
All I ever wanted was to escape. Trapped in a prison of reality until I learned to embrace the powers of imagination. There are flashes of memory, inspiration and hope in my thoughts, role-plays that go round and round like a carousel, keeping me happy for that little bit longer. But at the end of the day, that is all they are: a charade of a life, wrapped up in a childish game. I spend my life dreaming of being somewhere else and having everything I've ever wanted. I'm not giving myself time to live. I exist, but in another world.
This is all about imagination and daydreaming, and thinking about how much we miss out on what actually happens by dreaming of what we want to happen.
