Title: In a hospital room

by Emma | in writing, poetry

Alone
In a cold white room

No-one there ' or so you think
All alone

The clean white floors are so far away
When you are in a hospital bed

When you walk you feel like you weigh a tonne
In a cold white hospital room

You feel alone
Even when everyone surrounds you
When you are in a hospital room

You feel so useless
In a hospital room

My inspiration is personal experience - last year I spent 2 weeks in a hospital bed after having a scoliosis /spinal surgery.
