Title: The beginning

"Hunny I'm not raising my voice, but I would like to leave before hell freezes over!' he snarled out of the corner of his mouth while almost crushing the banister with his over-bearing grip. Desperately clamouring down the stairs still attaching earrings and adjusting stockings, I almost fall but I've just got to carry on. I know how anxious he gets when he's meeting 'Big' Bill Thompson. Bill's just a Scottish idiot who thinks he's Blackpool's Al Capone but Dave doesn't see it that way, I suppose you wouldn't at the other end of a gun.
Oh I know what everyone thinks. Yes so he's a bit of a gangster. He runs a dodgy casino that's all. He hasn't pulled off anything big, at least I don't think so. I don't ask him about his work. Our sons don't know what Daddy's friends do in their spare time and neither do I. It doesn't bother me. Dave's never been violent or aggressive to me.
"I'm coming as fast as I can" I say honey practically dripping from my mouth, then he won't get mad as I said. Though he would never get violent, I'm not that stupid.
Those were the last thoughts running through her head before entering the gothic style mansion and being shot 32 times in the chest execution style. She really did love her children. You could tell by the way she tried to dive in front of them and clutched them so tight as blood poured down. While she repeatedly screamed "Why?'
He never forgot those screams.
