Title: So the curtain rose
by Laura from Buckinghamshire | in writing, poetry
So the curtain rose
That rainy day
And the audience cheered
And the players played.
The cast was assembled
And they waited in the wings.
They'll all strut their stuff,
And their characters will sing.
So the curtain rose
And complex became plain
Because the audience cheered
And the players played'
But what would you say
If I said nobody heard?
And what would you say
If I said nobody saw?
And what would you say?
And what would you say?
And'
What would you say
If I said nobody heard the shot of the gun,
And nobody saw the broken head
That matched his broken heart,
Fall to the ground in a crown of blood.
Nobody heard a scream
That nobody uttered in horror
And nobody cares of the director
If the curtain will rise tomorrow.
So the curtain rose
And he ended his pain,
Why care of the director
When the players play?
So what would you say?
