Title: Rain

by Rach from Lincolnshire | in writing, poetry

As the rain pelts down from the blackened sky
I realize that maybe things in life aren't as complicated as they seem
Wondering what life would be like to be rain
Maybe it would be simple?
No emotions or feelings
Just falls from the sky not caring where it lands or what harm it does
Arrives with so many brothers and sisters
Destroys hair
Destroys places and lands
The rain has no thoughts and no life expectancy
Its life goes on in a simple cycle that never changes
The job it has is never done
Does it have time to play?
Does play?
Does it enjoy falling from great heights that could kill humans if they tried it?
It becomes the sea and rivers?
The rain sees more pain and suffering in life than anyone can ever see in a lifetime
It sees more landscape and destruction over the world than anyone
It travels the world more than any human could
I wonder what life would be like if everyone was rain and only animals existed on this world.
I wonder if humans where rain and didn't destroy the world that global warming wouldn't exist?
Maybe the o-zone layer would be intact?
Maybe diseases wouldn't exist?
Maybe life would be better if no-one was born or died and the animals owned the planet.
What if?
What it we could have one wish and that was to become rain one day when it thunders and lightening?
Does the thunder control the rain?
Or maybe the Lightening rules since light travels fast than sound?
Maybe Lightening controls the sky and thunder controls the land?
I want to be the rain on a winter day so I can see its life and turn to snow or ice and destroy the creations of the world that have cause harm!
I want to fix the earth and heal its wounds'
If I was rain I would never be sad and never be lonely'
Maybe life would be perfect.
Is that Possible?
