Title: Ordinary or invisible?

by Katy from Lincolnshire | in writing, poetry

She sees the world through wind screened eyes
The raindrops pushed away
She's ruined no lives
No tears cried
She's living but she hasn't lived a day

No engravings set in stone
No handprints in the snow
Her heart left untouched
Her wrapping never cut

As time passes she's dissolving
Everything is unfolding
Her throat's to dry to say
But it didn't matter anyway

Now she's dead and gone
No one ever knew her long
And all the world is left
As if she never took one breathe

I was shopping in town, it was raining, and I wondered about the people walking by.
