Title: daddy's girl

by jodie from Suffolk | in writing, poetry

He looked at me gently, i smiled back, having no fear on my back,
Had a track of music in my mind that i hold back,
It sing like a rocking musical bird,
playing the same beat each time,
it's sing............

chorus

I'm in my nest, cosy ready to rest,
I am leaving soon, though not before noon, i swear it is true.

He knew the words in our connection, only through the beholders eye can see,
for his platonic dreams and mine defused into the one scene,
he dreamed i was married to another , i dreamed it was him instead.

Then i remebered......

Chorus

I am in my nest, cosy ready to rest,
I am leaving soon but not before noon.

The time was ticking, with every minute i was thinking, the bird was safe in it's place, why would it want to face an abusive race, or go to another place.

I will cherish life for what i have, stop and smell the roses in my inquisative nose.
He looked at me gently, i smiled back
having no fear on my back, had a track of music in my mind that i hold back, it sing like a musical bird, playing the same beat each time it's sing............

I am in my nest, cosy ready to rest,
I will be leaving soon,

But daddy not ever without you..............I swear this is true.
