Title: Teacher, teacher
by Taylor-Marie from London | in writing, poetry
Teacher, teacher,
Crying at her table,
Wants to break the news,
But is she able?
Teacher, teacher,
Sobbing on her chair,
Looks at the empty desk,
And knows why she's not there.
Teacher, teacher,
The class await,
What did the police say,
Was it too late?
Teacher, teacher,
Stands up and the tears reload,
'Perhaps now, we've learnt a lesson,
About safety on the road''
Many of my friends have passed away for different reasons and I have have seldom done much to commemorate them. This time is different. Someone I know, knew, was hit by a car going at 56 mph. She didn't survive. When the form teacher was alerted, all she could do was cry and the class soon knew of the loss. So in conclusion I would like to dedicate this poem to Emily, who died aged 14.
