Title: I looked at you.

by Hannah from West Sussex | in writing, poetry

I looked at you,
An' you looked at me.
Love was there for all to see
But there was another girl,
Lily was her name,
What a pain.

She was there first,
An' it's only fair,
She had eyes like pearls.
Hair like the wind.
And a face of beauty.
Not for me to judge.

And when...
I looked at you,
An' you looked at her...
I had an urge to kill,
But I turned away.

There was your girlfriend,
An' she was there first.
Lily, whose eyes like pearls,
Pierced right though your heart.

Every day I looked at you,
For a while.
Then I would move on,
I wish it was so easy now.
Life'll never be the same.
What a pain.
