Title: Forsaken fortune
by Yolanda from Gloucestershire | in writing, poetry
The life I lead has only ever known thy destiny entwined with mine,
Yet the stars themselves has burdened me with a fate far worse than death
For leaving you can only lead to internal torturous pain,
I cannot bear the thought of true beauty and thy love being removed from my sight,
And so I stand here and beseech my grace to bestow mercy upon me,
Although I fear, he is blind to a traitors cry
Though I do seek to escape the path I seem to taking,
I cannot deceive enough to conceal my fear
As my soul cannot end the constant flow of tears,
By and by I come to the end of what I thought was meant to be,
I pick haste to escape suffocation from pain within
As fiends within flock me endlessly till my tears run dry
The beat of my heart slowly fading,
The memory of your face slowly fading,
I bid you farewell true beauty; I look for the coming of our next encounter.
