Title: An ant's life is unfortunate
by Nic from Lancashire | in writing, poetry
She sighs, and
Slowly
Lifts her finger,
Then deliberately
Brings it down
On the ant.
She disliked the way
It scuttled
And scampered
Across the hot paving stones
So she ended its
Small life.
With a twist
Of her wrist
The job is done.
Finger wiped on jeans,
One less life in the world,
And one less ant
To get in her way.
Watching my sister kill ants in the back yard by squishing them inspired me to write this!
