Title: It's all about time
by Marc from Scotland | in writing, poetry
The moon looks down on us,
Like a great shining eye;
Reflecting the sun,
And all that's gone bye.
Time can be pleasing,
But it can also be cruel;
The Universe bows down,
To its mighty rule.
Time can be a friend,
Or a foe,
And when its strikes you'll,
Never know.
Time is the king,
Time is the queen,
Deciding what's to be
And what's already been.
Time works in magical
Ways,
Its branded mark
Forever stays.
Every fire will end
In cinders
And everything perfected
Eventually hinders.
Every bulb will grow a flower
And every sapling
Will rise,
To be a tower.
Everything existing will meet
The ground burred by time
And may never be found.
Years have been spent,
But there's still years to spend;
Time can be great,
With the help of a friend.
I look at time as a constant reminder of our mortal states. With this perception of time, I try my very hardest to cram as much experiences in as I can in the time I've been given. These experiences, I've discovered, are ten times greater with the company of friends than without. These thoughts are my inspiration.
