Title: The coma
by Josie from Derbyshire | in writing, poetry
The faith I felt was drawing thin,
No curtain was open to let light in,
And as she lay my heart lay heavy,
I would wait with her until she was ready,
No improvement was in her face,
Her body colder by the days,
There were no signs of her showing life,
She had No will to survive,
The worst was yet when with the doctor,
A second beep and then they shocked her,
And as I stared in disbelief,
A light came down and rescued me,
I am the spirit of she who lays,
The woman who lay there most of her days,
I am at peace now, but they won't know,
The doctors who didn't want to let me go.
Inspired by a book by Danielle Steel 'The Kiss', that has left an impact on me x
