Title: The nature of man

by Sanah from Scotland | in writing, poetry

I look through my window and I see that the sky is painted with heaven's palette, everyone is mesmerised by the picturesque view.
I look through my window and I see a small figure standing amongst the crowd. Her face is kindled under the beaming sun, though her eyes are lost. Lost somewhere that I knew nothing of.
I look through my window and I see that the sun has been concealed under a veil of darkness. This is nature's conspiracy to hide what is so manifest.
I look through my window and I see that the sky has shrugged off its dark blanket. It has woken from its sleep. Now all is clear. Though man is still blind to all.
I look through my window and I see a reflection of myself, I strain my eyes and look deeper, I can see all of eternity captured in the same crucible of life: none can break free.
