The Mystery Murder

It was a dark, rainy night at eight o'clock on the thirty-first of October. It was cold and wet. Nikki and her friend Paul were walking home together as usual. Paul was chatting to Nikki but Nikki was not listening. She was thinking about her family and how her mum and dad had split up. She never saw her dad again because he went missing. Her mum said he had moved away but Nikki went to his house when her mum did not know. The person who lived there said he has been missing for ages. This night was different. It was Halloween. Nikki was panicking because Halloween was the day her dad went missing. As they were walking along a large, black cat jumped out in front of them and ran off into the night. They looked up into the sky and saw a light shining. It glowed red, blue, then green and gold.
What was it? They wondered.
The air felt still and cold. It had stopped raining and everything was creepy. It felt like something was going to happen. Nikki and Paul went past a very old house. It was a huge old house, which was deserted. The house lay in a big, shadowy garden, surrounded by trees. As they were going past the house they heard a strange noise. It was a long, low howling noise.
"Maybe it's a dog," suggested Paul, trying not to be scared.
"It must be in trouble. Let's go and see," whispered Nikki.
They passed through the old rusty gates and crept along the path towards the door of the house. It was so dark that they could hardly see. The wind whistled through the trees. Again they heard the low howling sound, coming from the house.
Oooooh! Oooooh!
"I don't think it's a dog," whispered Nikki.
"You're just a scaredy cat!" Paul bravely suggested,
"Come on, let's go inside."
They went up the stairs and pushed open the front door. It creaked loudly and fell open with a bang. The air felt cool and clammy and creepy. Paul walked into the hallway. An enormous spider's web hit him in the face and he screamed.
"Aaagh!"
"It's only a spider's web," laughed Nikki.
They went into a large room on the ground floor. On the wall, above the fireplace there hung a large mirror. They looked into the mirror and saw lights dancing inside it. Then suddenly a huge ghostly head came out of the mirror and tried to grab them!
'Aaagh!' they both screamed and turned and ran to the front door but it was locked! What was happening to them? Then they heard the howling noise again. It was coming from upstairs.
They had no choice. They tiptoed silently up the stairs. They listened again. The noise was coming from a room at the end of the corridor. They moved slowly towards the door. They felt really afraid. What would they see? What horrible thing would they find behind the door?
They went into a large room. It was a bedroom and that's when Nikki had had her shock. The wardrobe doors were open and guess what she saw. A human's head was hanging there it was still and breathless. The face had no eyes. The sockets were dripping with blood and she could also see the veins. They were on the window ledge. She couldn't look. Then Paul came in and slowly walked towards the hanging head it was quiet but all you could hear was the dripping blood drop on the marble floor. He looked closely and then so a mark on his neck and that was when he realised it was sown of and it was. ..Nikki's dad. He keeped it to him self and then that's when he saw the draw wide open. Paul shut the wardrobe door quick as Nikki walked towards him. Then nikki spotted the draw she saw two hands and two legs the legs were bright red you could see the inside of the knee cap and the leg had a tattoo on it and she recognised it from some were but she did not know were she recognised it from. Paul walked to wards the bed and that had blood on and he lifted the quilt and there was the rest of the body. The chest had bites on and the heart had been ripped out. Blood was everywhere. Nikki opened the wardrobe door and then she screamed her dad had been murdered. She was devastated and she started crying. Paul gave her a hug. She was shell-shocked and could not believe what had happened. Why is her dad dead? Who had killed him? She wanted to find out and kill the person who did this but she knew she was wrong and should just talk to this person and see, what the problem was and then report it to the police. Then from the next room was a crackle of laughter. She was so angry and stomped into the room.
She saw a huge green monster. But when he turned around he was half human. The monster had blood all over. One arm was a saw and that was dripping with blood. Nikki knew that the monster/human had killed her dad. Nikki and Paul walked in and the monster locked them in a room. Nikki and Paul were scared. What was going to happen? Is the monster going to kill them? He looked closely at them and Nikki noticed one detail the monster had a programmed chip on the back of its neck. Paul looked at her and they both thought of the same thing the monster/human was being programmed. But who would do this. It was a robot. But for some reason the Robot showed emotion. It was showing care and love and looked at us in a sad way. Nikki and Paul froze. Suddenly Nikki and Paul were not scared no more. They walked towards the robot and for some reason it opened its arms wide. When they were close enough to the robot it hugged them but some thing was not right. The robot shut down. They struggled to get out of the monsters arms but they managed and the monster just dropped on the floor like a piece of dirt. Then the doors flew open behind them. They did not dare to turn around but Paul turned first not knowing what he was going to see. Then he told Nikki to turn around and every thing is ok. When Nikki turned around her mum was standing in the dark doorway. Nikki was so happy but wondered how her mum knew where she was. Did she follow them? But Nikki and Paul had not seen any one following them but she knew she was safe with her mum.
'Mum you found us! Oh I am so happy, but some one has killed dad and all his body parts are in a room. Oh what is going to happen now? I thought we were going to die, I am so scared. Why would anyone do this? Mum what are we going to do' screamed Nikki.
Nikki was so happy that her mum was here and Nikki and Paul thought they were safe and her mum must have followed them. They thought her mum had come to find them and make sure they are ok and safe. Nikki thought her mum actually cared about her.
'Hello Hun what are you doing here? And I know about your dad because I have got to tell you something and I know you will hate me and then I will be locked up for'.. Sorry Nikki but I'' I have got to tell you I '..Killed your dad. I am so sorry but he hit me and cut my leg so I killed him. I hope you understand' sobbed mum
Nikki new here mum was not lying or joking because she knows when she is serious. Nikki was just standing there devastated and unable to move. Paul looked at Nikki's mum and then he started crying even though it was not his dad. He just lost it and yelled at her mum.
'How could you kill your husband and then but all his body parts around a room. And you new how she would react. I am shocked that you would do that. He only hit you and cut your leg a tiny bit. I am ashamed of you and then telling Nikki when she is still scared and upset to find her dad in a room dead!' Paul shouted.

Nikki could not speak and ran out of the room and outside. Paul ran after her and when he found her he gave her a hug. He tried to comfort her.
Nikki ran back in. 'why did you kill him? Did it make you feel good? And why did you think about killing him. You must have plotted it not even I am smart enough to make that up' shouted Nikki still devastated.
