Title: You, my unfortunate slight
by Nic from Northern Ireland | in writing, poetry
I've seen your tragedy and your fortune.
You've seen my light and been the witness to the dark.
My limitless thoughts of you
Console boundaries of shared memories.
Every promise kept,
Each philosophy declared,
But one unfortunate slight...
I'm uninvited.
She thinks me only unworthy,
Too hold such position with you.
In unspoken clarity, I'm the harm she inflicts.
I don't think we'd be simple together.
Such complex souls cannot be so defined.
In a space, Iâ''ll let us grow.
Rejuvenating in splendour.
The ground beneath is burning,
All decaying thought has left.
My uninvited presence lingers on,
And you have chosen her.
