Title: A Walk Through the Woods
by Gem from Suffolk | in writing, fiction
The leaves underneath crunched as I stepped on them, scattered all over the woody path as if a trail showing me the way. I looked up at the towering trees above, the sunlight filtering through the leaves; it was beautiful. Birds swooped, mice scampered, insects hurried; they all appeared to be in a rush as if making last minute preparations for the end of autumn. A single bird perched onto a solitary branch and watched my every move as I made my way down the forest path. I halted for a while and observed the intriguing autumn colours around me, browns, yellows, golds, reds and the rare glimpse of green; they all surrounded me and looked more like a postcard than the local forest.
This is only a small portion of some coursework i did for english. I love writing descriptively, its my passion...
