Title: A Day Being Santa

by Aaliyah from London | in writing, fiction

The roads outside were covered in a thick, soft, cold blanket of snow. The paths glistened in the moonlight. The whole street sparkled and shone. It was a phenomenal sight, that you wouldn't want to miss. No children were seen running, or cycling on their bikes. They were all in bed early, waiting for Santa! Bethany went to bed very early that night, although she couldn't get to sleep. In her red and green striped pj's, she looked like a present herself. "I can't wait till morning", she whispered out loud. When she finally drifted off, you couldn't tell whether she was asleep for sure. Bethany kept tossing and turning in her sleep. But Santa must have thought she was asleep, because he came to her house and left extravagant presents under the stunning Christmas tree.

There was one problem, Santa had ate too many mince pies. So, after he ate Beth's mince pies, he couldn't get back up the chimney! He clambered and clattered about, trying to get back up. But he just couldn't! At that moment all the noise woke Bethany up. She dawdled into the lounge, to find Santa! " Are you ... ... ... I mean, who are you?", she stuttered.
"Yes, I am Mr. S. Claus.", he said.
"Wow!" exclaimed Beth.
"I have eaten too many mince pies; I can't get back up the chimney and deliver the gifts!" he told Bethany.
" I will do it for you Santa", she said.
"Go quickly then, Dancer will know what to do." So with that, Beth was gone.
