Title: Metamorphasis

by catriona from South Yorkshire | in writing, poetry

A slow process,
Full of twists and turns,
Unexpected corners,
And challenging crossroads.

Some days seem like mountains,
Other like mole hills,
This is metamorphosis.

Just as a caterpillar,
I crawl into the chrysalis of my mind,
Feeling like the ugly duckling,
I hide my face from all.

Time passes just as the seasons,
Winter into spring,
And the light breaks through.

It shines on my face,
As I spread my wings to the sky.
