Title: Samuel (A Song)
by Rosie | in writing, poetry
You always were so insecure
Expressing needs for something more
Your hate, your love, they burn so strong
Directed at me for so long
A rose in your hand, a thorn in your heart
Crying and fearful and scared of the dark
What will happen, time will tell
Live forever, Samuel
You hated life but yourself more
You don't know what you're fighting for
Twisted thoughts wrapped round your fingers
Hidden pains as your smile lingers
Something better waits for you
You'll see it through, you'll see it through
I miss you
A rose in your hand, a thorn in your heart
Worried and fearful and dreading the dark
Life goes on, I wish you well
Don't forget me, Samuel
Your desires, buried deep
Kiss the past and go to sleep
A rose in your hand, a thorn in your heart
Crying and fearful and scared of the dark
What will happen, time will tell
Live forever, Samuel
Life goes on, I wish you well
Don't forget me, Samuel
You saw Heaven through your Hell
Live forever, Samuel
I was talking to a friend of mine and thinking about how much we've both changed since we met three years ago - and I felt so strongly about it and about everything we've been through together that I wrote it all down in this song. Credits: The person who I wrote this about, Sam - I give all the credit to him because I'm really glad he gave me the inspiration for what I've written.
