Title: Even with my imperfections
by Kimberley from London | in writing, poetry
Take each tear that falls from my eye,
and hold it tight in your hand.
Take the very pain of my heart,
and hold it with tender care.
Take each tremble of my voice,
and capture the sound in your ear.
I am but human, even with my faults will you love me still?
Take each thunder in my step,
and give me wings so I can fly.
Take each doubt of my mind,
and embed thoughts that are kind.
I am but human, even with my imperfections will you love me still?
Take each wear of my bones,
and build a tower of strength.
Take each grey that will grow through my hair,
and draw a silver linen.
Take the very scars of my soul,
and build a beautiful temple in which my spirit shall dwell.
Take the very imperfections,
and find the perfections I have too.
Some say love is blind, but true love can see straight through the perfections and love the imperfections just as well.
My inspiration for this poem was the true meaning of love...
