Title: Spring
by Ali_Blast_Test from Channel Islands | in writing, non-fiction
Warm rains wash away the persistent cling of winter
Delicate songs drift on the air
Water gurgles, flowing regardless over broken obstacles
Water nymphs chuckle as they hopscotch down the stream
Grass grows alarmingly, making up for lost time
Velvet blades ripple in the wind
Majestic trees put forth tentative limbs
Cascades of flowers drift through the grass
Petals unfurl, stretching from their constricted winter coats Capricious Spring throws a tantrum and lightning strikes the ground Gentle Sun soothes and all is well
Birds soar and dive, a kamikaze act of daredevil stunts
Skies of washed-out blue are unrolled, the grey sky of winter taken away to be washed
Fragile smells infused in the air
The ground breathes a sigh of relief
What inspired me: I looked outside this morning and it was so beautiful that I quickly wrote this poem ... Credits: foaryoawyrowehro
