Title: Swimming Somewhere

by Georgina | in writing, poetry

Stretch out in front of you,
Through the ripples of your heaving chest.
I can see your bones,
Swimming in the pool of light.

Dive a little deeper,
Until you touch the edge,
Tell me what it feels like,
To breath in, and never look back.

Bury your tail into grains of a thousand isles,
Where something's been buried,
Stronger, deeper than you.

Stare out through me,
You can swim so far.
Scatter the pulsing blood,
Each droplet healing those scars,
Bringing you down to the dark.
Strip off the softened skin,
Show me the scales,
Tell me your alive.

You can swim so far.
