Title: Poem
by Kat from West Yorkshire | in writing, poetry, dark
Manchester. I live and breathe
In the challenging ecstasy of adolescence.
A party, a future, who knows where I’m heading
As long it leads to freedom of freedom;
Echoes of darkness whisper whisper and through
The muffled silence your hand reaches mine;
Delicate, intimate, laced with electricity.
Beautiful face. Eyes, puce.
Stranger, you smile with a maternal tenderness. Yet behind lurks the shadow
Of greed, guilt, a goal; the power of a man she’ll never love too much.
Your sincerity, gentility entices slowly
Slowly, your world swallows mine
The final flashes of childhood dissolve
And in the final, pivotal, flash: flash of lonely inspiration
I glimpse your knife.
First time I've ever written on here. I don't really know what it's about, I just felt inspired to write it all of a sudden. Any feedback much appreciated.
