12 modern medieval designs. I have always been interested madly in fashion,clothing, and designing since i was a small child. It's like a hobby of mine, and it is very easy and interesting for me to design. it is my greatest passion and ambition in life to become an international designer( like my favorite designers such as Roberto Cavalli, Dolce and Gabanna and Balmain). In this project, i have looked at the medieval and renaissance time period and when i think of the medieval times the first things that comes to mind is beautiful long flowing patterned queen gowns with emeralds and sapphire pieces and another thing that comes to mind is Alexander Mcqueen which is another of my favorite designers and has always designed clothes from that time period (autum/winter 2010, autum/wineter 2009). But there is another aspect to the medieval times,when you look deeper into medieval period you get the feeling of darkness, as you look into portraits you will see that there are a lots of gargoyles, monsters, soldiers and warriors (my tiger crystal dress) (portraits such as theWar in Heaven (France, c. 1320)). The black death was at that same time period, and the war, which makes you think of the darkness behind the medieval times, but then again there are angels, family gathering portraits also. Both these concepts interest me a lot, especially thinking and concentrating upon thy darkness and the lightness of the medieval period, and the colour schemes and patterns of the dress they wore, the dark reds and the golden gold and the emrald colors. Therefore i have taken the medieval time period as my inspiration for this capsule
