Entry to the Game Design Competition by Alison who attended a FREE workshop at ´óÏó´«Ã½ Blast on tour in Whitehaven. She says "The order is A (Toxic breath) B (Digital Modem) C (Krulius Movement). For A I came up with the idea by just experimenting with sound effects on my own breath to make it sound as toxic as possible. For B I wanted the sound to be as if it had just come out of a swamp so I wanted it to be squelchy. I wet some newspaper and squeezed it in my hands. For C I wanted to make it sound like it was rattling against itself so I wanted it to sound mechanical. I opened a shower gel bottle lid to create the sound. My sounds are right for the Kruilis because it looks quite menacing. The toxic breath sounds like it is coming out of pipes and something is spraying out and the footsteps are good because they sound like it still has mud on its feet from the swamp. The Digital Bio-Converter and Modem sound good because they sound very metal and mechanic. I think the design suits the audience of The Sarah Jane Adventures because they are very elaborate and exaggerated so effective for young people to listen to. They fit with the character to would enhance viewing experience."
