Title: Canderel

by Craig from Cornwall | in writing, poetry, love

When I reply to your question of how I take my tea
milk
no sugar; I'm sweet enough,
it isn't because I am actually sweet.

I won't serenade you with an explosion of flowers on valentines day.

Your parents won't adapt to me like an extreme climate change and call me son.

I won't write you sonnets of age defined beauty worthy of the leak in your tear ducts.

I am no harbour
I don't expect you to fall for me.

When I reply to your question of how I take my tea
milk
no sugar; I'm sweet enough,
it isn't because I am actually sweet
I just don't want you to realise that I will rot your teeth.
